Being the number one chemical supplier in the automotive industry, DW was tasked with building a brochure that would increase BASF’s awareness, provide a more differentiated and customer-relevant approach, and increase its market share in Asia.

Idea

EMPOWERING THE ENABLER OF SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY

In line with the BASF’s corporate direction, DW created an image brochure that encapsulated the idea of a partnership in Asia, while highlighting the emphasis of sustainable innovation. The idea was to steer away from complex chemical technicalities and translate these contents into customer-oriented information that they can relate to.

BASF caters to many challenging needs and the best way to express this was to create strong visuals focusing on the main unique features paired with BASF solutions in a 2-page spread. A quick-view summary section was created to feature important information in an iconographic manner for an intelligible read.

All in all, to support BASF’s corporate direction of being the enabler of sustainability, the brochure was printed on a tactile, avant-garde paper made with potato starch.

Result

Distributed regionally, the visually stunning brochure, coupled with the unique paper texture that exuded the extraordinary fusion of sand and silk, effortlessly captured the attention of the audience. The succinct copy and the use of strong visuals increased the viewer’s attention and scored high in the retention quotient.
